So it's not cancelled? Same rule doesn't apply for everyone?

Paul Holmes

The lowly plebians who paid to enter this months ago can't even come to watch the event, but you can fly in people from areas with a higher rate of Covid transmission at a few days notice? The email sent on the 24th deliberately doesn't mention the event was still on for the select few. If its not safe for us it isn't safe for them either. Shameful.

Mark Simpson... you could give him some competition!

What time does live stream start at?

Louise John are you having a go this year?

So we can fly people in but can't let the locals race!!

Is it not cancelled ?

It’s a early start hope he hears his alarm clock

Just a pity local peasants can't run.

Hi I have just sent an email to defer my entry to next year. Do you know when next years race will be held?

Richard Ewart

Louie Almario

If we have our original bibs do we just turn up on 12th September? Haven’t seen any email communication- thanks!

Does the original race number posted out early in the year still be used or will there be new ones?

More information needed 1 are there toilets/portal looks at the start /along route finish area 2 what way are water stations working 3 How does finish line work with 100s of runners congregating in one place 4 Can we do a Virtual run instead would be a lot safer for a lot of runners who want to run this race

In the official press release, it keeps referring to the race, “for elite runners”... is this race just for official/elite runners or can any Joe Bloggs still run?

As there is no crowds can I wear in ear buds to keep me occupied for the 2 hours for my planned time It's my first every race so haven't a clue with the rules

Is registration still open?

Missed the opportunity to run this last year & was really looking forward to running it this year. I would like to run it but I want to be able to enjoy the run. I don't feel like I will be able to enjoy the run while being part of such a mass gathering during these times when Covid 19 is still such a huge risk. Therefore I'm going to have to defer my entry to next year. Good luck to everyone still running & stay safe. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿป‍โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿป‍โ™€๏ธ

What happens people who cant do sept and deferring to next year isnt an option ??

Thomas O'Hagan

Will you be allowing new entries for the new date?

Jim Lawrence

Bring on sept..๐Ÿค—

Briege O'Hagan Bronagh Cushnahan at least we can defer till next year ๐Ÿ‘

I would suppose there is not much need for a refund. I can make it in Sept but if i couldnt then I would have deffered to next year. There maybe be very few were this is just a one off and want thier money back. I assume there is some costs to setting this race up so why not doante it to these people who have given thier time and effort and with no fault of thiers have to cancel.

If we deferred prior to the postponement do we need to get in touch again (assuming not but just checking)?

***Marshal/Volunteer Update***We would like to remind all the dedicated people who came through to offer their services as marshals that the meeting scheduled for tomorrow night is no longer required. We would also like to take this time to thank each and every one of you for your support and patience throughout the last few weeks.Without people like you these events would never take place, its unfortunate that sometimes you are the forgotten people in the background, but you are really the backbone for every event and the sacrifice you all make is really appreciated by all involved at the Antrim Coast Half Marathon. We look forward to seeing you all in September with the same dedication that you always do. Many thanks, Antrim Coast Half Marathon Race Team ... See MoreSee Less

***COVID-19 - ANTRIM COAST HALF MARATHON UPDATE***With the fast developing news on the coronavirus situation we have taken the decision to postpone our race until September 12th 2020, we had been following the governmentโ€™s guidelines throughout the past few weeks, although they remain the same there has been rapid escalating developments on the virus and inline with other major sporting events we have now decided that postponement is the way forward. We would like to thank everyone who has put a lot of hard work into the organisation of what promised to be the best race ever on this island and to put that into our own town and community was our main drive. All current entries will now be transferred to the new date 12/09/2020 On a more positive note and hoping that the pandemic we are now in will have passed we will be working behind the scenes to make this happen later in the year. See you all on September 12th and we thank you all for your patience while we took this decision. Antrim Coast Half Marathon Race Team ... See MoreSee Less

I can’t believe people are complaining about this decision. Have word with yourselves ffs.

Damned if you do, damned if you dont! Given the number of races in the calendar and the number of postponed races, it was always going to be a nightmare to get a date which didnt clash with something. I know it's frustrating for some, but remember, there are normal people, runners like you and me at the other end managing the Facebook page - don't be a dick ๐Ÿ†

I hope potentially losing £30 is the worst thing that happens to everyone who entered in the up coming months. A bit of perspective please!

The right choice. I actually can't believe people are going off on one about it not suiting their schedule ๐Ÿ™ˆ. This should be the least of your worries.

Extremely difficult decision for all involved in the organisation of such an event, after so many voluntary hours of hard work and anyone who has ever been involved will appreciate that it is difficult to please everyone. This year in particular due to the Coronavirus outbreak has meant even more meetings and decisions. Looking forward to running it in September.

If your biggest problem six months from now is races clashing I think you can count yourself incredibly lucky.

Is deferral our option then please for those of us already committed to the Great North Run?

Day before Great North Run. Bad choice of date. I hope my deferal still stands to next year

Yous made the right Decision Larne ac do yous not all no Covid-19 is killing people

Considering the circumstances it was the correct decision. Unfortunately some people won't be happy about the date but hey the race will go on and it will still be a fantastic event.

How and when will you offer refunds as you've picked the day before the GNR

Really disappointing. Was looking forward to it......

Any chance you can do the same as the London winter run? They enable people to get their medal if they ran the distance and showed proof via Strava / runkeeper / Apple Watch etc .... race is now 3 weeks before London marathons rescheduled date ....

Fair play to you for making the right decision. Not an easy one but the right one. We will see brighter days and enjoy a cracking race!

Away at the GNR that weekend hope there’s a refund option

Sad the race is postponed but it’s probably for the best considering the current climate. Looking forward to the 12th September. More time to train ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฝ‍โ™€๏ธ

Took you a while, but at last you came to the right decision.

A friend has now 2 half marathons in September an 2 marathons in October.

Sensible approach. Difficult decision to make but the right one.

The right decision! Great to see these precautions. Me and my husband both entered but will be on holiday on 12th sept, can we defer to March? Thanks

Yes not good enough, I be away two weeks in September this is not good of them thinking it be ok with everyone ๐Ÿคฌ

The right decision. No matter what date there will always be a clash of some sorts. Thanks Larne AC for all your work on this race and looking forward to sept!

Difficult decision for all race organizers to make. We all wanted to see a good show....we will in September!

Right decision but unfortunately that's Great North Run weekend which hubby and I are entered for. Is deferral still available to 2021?

The new date clashes with the GNR I’ll be looking for a refund
